Why I Write

Photography is more than making beautiful images. This journal is where I slow down and put the thinking into words — the ideas, failures and lessons that don't always fit inside a single frame.

Some stories begin long before the shutter is pressed, while others reveal themselves only after the photograph has been made. Writing gives me the space to explore those moments more honestly. It allows me to reflect on the decisions, emotions and observations that shape my work but often remain invisible to the viewer.

You'll also find thoughts beyond photography. I write about filmmaking, creativity, the tools I use, books that influence my perspective and the products I choose after living with them for months—not days. I believe that the best reviews come from experience, not first impressions, and that every recommendation should be earned through real use.

This journal is equally a record of growth. I'll share the mistakes that taught me the most, the projects that didn't go as planned, and the lessons that quietly changed the way I see the world. I hope these reflections are as valuable as the finished photographs themselves.

Whether you're here because you enjoy photography, appreciate thoughtful design, train relentlessly to master a craft, or simply enjoy reading about the creative process, I hope these words offer something worth taking with you. If a photograph invites you to pause for a moment, perhaps the story behind it will encourage you to stay a little longer.
